Towing and Roadside Help in Tracy, CA

Tracy is the valley's gateway to the Bay Area. I-205 runs along the north side of town and I-580 climbs west over the Altamont Pass toward Livermore. I-5 skirts the east edge. A large share of the cars on those freeways belong to commuters making a long drive every day, and long daily drives wear out batteries, tires and cooling systems.

We dispatch tow trucks and roadside help in Tracy, Mountain House and the surrounding countryside around the clock. That covers Grant Line Road, 11th Street, Tracy Boulevard and the shopping centers along Naglee Road. Call, and you will hear the price and an ETA before a truck is sent.

The Altamont and the commute

I-580 over the Altamont is a long grade, and summer afternoons bring hot engines and strong westerly winds. Overheating on the climb is common, especially in older cars and when towing a trailer, and the wind can push high-sided vehicles around. If your temperature gauge starts rising, turn off the air conditioning, switch the heater to full and get off at the next exit or onto a wide shoulder. Do not wait for the red line.

The I-205 and I-580 split and the run toward the I-5 junction carry very heavy traffic morning and evening. Breakdowns there need exact locations: direction of travel, which freeway, and the nearest exit.

Warehouses, Mountain House and the hills

North of I-205, the International Park of Commerce and the other distribution centers bring box trucks and vans around the clock. The defense depot site adds its own traffic. If you break down inside a facility, tell the dispatcher which gate. To the west, Mountain House has grown into its own community off the freeway at Mountain House Parkway.

South of town, Corral Hollow Road heads into the hills toward the Carnegie off-road park, and Patterson Pass Road winds over toward Livermore. Both are narrow, with few shoulders, and stuck or broken off-road vehicles are a regular call in the dry months.
