About
A local dispatch desk for San Joaquin County
San Joaquin Towing is a dispatch and referral service. We do not pretend to be one big fleet. When you call, a dispatcher takes down where you are and what you need, then finds the nearest licensed independent operator with the right truck for the job.
That might be a flatbed for an all-wheel-drive SUV on the Crosstown, a wheel-lift for a sedan in a Lodi parking lot, or a heavy wrecker for a box truck on Arch-Airport Road. The point is that you make one call and the right truck comes.
Before anything is sent, you hear the price and an estimated arrival time. If either one does not work for you, say so. Nothing is owed until you agree.
Why a dispatch service helps
Tow operators in the valley are mostly small outfits, with a few trucks each spread between Lodi and Tracy. At two in the morning, the one closest to you may not be the one whose number you happen to find. A dispatch desk keeps track of who is working and where, so you do not have to call around in the dark.
It also means one number to remember. (209) 850-ROAD spells out on any phone keypad, and it is the same number whether you are stuck on Highway 12 in the Delta or on the Altamont grade.
What we will not do
We will not quote one price and charge another. We will not invent an arrival time to keep you on the line. And we will tell you when you do not need a tow at all, for example when a jump or a spare tire will get you home.
