Towing and Roadside Help in Lodi, CA

Lodi is a small city with a lot of road around it. Highway 99 runs along its east side and Highway 12 comes in from the Delta as Kettleman Lane. In every direction there are vineyards on two-lane roads with no shoulder to speak of. Downtown is compact and easy to reach. The trouble spots are usually out on the edges.

We dispatch tow trucks and roadside help in Lodi, Woodbridge, Acampo and the wine country around them, day and night. Tell the dispatcher which road you are on, even if it is a vineyard lane off Turner or Peltier Road, and you will get a price and an ETA before anything is sent.

Highway 12 and the Delta side

West of Lodi, Highway 12 heads across the Delta toward Terminous and Rio Vista. It is two lanes for much of the way, with drawbridges, narrow shoulders and water on both sides. It has a long history of serious crashes, and in winter fog it is one of the most dangerous roads in the county. If you break down out there, get as far off the pavement as you safely can, keep your lights on and call. Be precise about your location: the nearest crossroad, bridge or marina is the best reference.

North and east of town, Highway 88 runs through Lockeford toward the foothills. Davis Road, Lower Sacramento Road and Armstrong Road carry commuters alongside tractors and harvest trucks.

Wine country, harvest and the Grape Festival

Lodi is ringed by vineyards and tasting rooms, and weekends bring visitors who do not know the back roads. Dead batteries in winery lots, flats on gravel driveways and cars nosed into a soft vineyard edge are all common calls. During harvest, from late summer into fall, gondola trailers full of grapes share the roads with everyone else and leave mud on the asphalt.

In town, the Grape Festival grounds, Lodi Lake on the Mokelumne River, Hutchins Street Square and downtown along School Street bring in crowds for events. A lockout at Lodi Lake on a hot July afternoon is one of the calls we see every summer.
